TYPES OF AEROPLANES
Q : Why do planes fly above clouds?
A : Aeroplanes are powered, heavier than air aircrafts with fixed wings. most planes are flown above cloud level because there as not much resistance higher up in the atmosphere. so they use less fuel there is also less turbulence above the clouds.
1.PROPLLED PLANES
Small planes powered by propellers that can take off from short run ways.
This propulsion is called as a turboprop. A C 130 transport planes is a turboprop aircraft.
2.LIGHT AIRCRAFTS
- Small planes used for leisure and short trips and powered by piston engines similar to small cars.
- It has maximum take off weight 12500 lb or 5670 kg or less
3.SEAPLANE
Propeller driven planes that can take off and land on water. cost around $ 20000 to 50000 range. it has a capable of carrying 10 passengers.
4.BIPLANE
An early type of plane with double wings that are often used for aerobatics display. biplanes are easy to fly. it has a weight of 2000 lbs
5.SUPERSONIC PLANE
Military jets that can fly faster than the speed of sound. us has produced 36 fighter type aircrafts.
6. JET AIRCRAFT
Powered by the jet engines and used to transport passengers and cargo and as military craft.
